Nelle Nikole has always been a storyteller. As a California native who’s lived everywhere from the historic battlefields of Virginia to the busy streets of Atlanta, her journey into writing began in the most entertaining way: by sharing a story about a killer teddy bear with her classmates in elementary school. While her storytelling has evolved since then, she has always maintained MMCs that ride or die for their leading ladies!
Worlds Built From Real Life and Fantasy
Nelle’s path to becoming a published author is just as unique as the stories she writes. After traveling the world to complete her degree in Anthropology in the beautiful cultures of Rio de Janeiro and Cuba, she went on to earn a Master’s in Public Policy, specializing in Global Affairs. With a sometimes hard earned and deep appreciation for the diversity of human experiences, Nelle blends reality and fantasy seamlessly, creating her amazing worlds that captivates us readers.
Her debut series, State of the Union, is a dystopian fantasy romance that tackles heavy themes like grief, betrayal, and hope. Set in a magical, post-apocalyptic United States, the story is told through the eyes of a strong female protagonist Amaia and her chosen family. Nelle’s ability to take her real-life experiences, including some of the grief she has faced in her own life and the experiences from living with various cultures and weave them into her face paces and often spicy stories is what makes her work so relatable, yet utterly inspiring!

She’s also the author of Kuxtal Academy: The Beginning, an adult urban fantasy that draws inspiration from Mayan mythology and featuring a sexy cast of hot fae, greedy gods, and spicy shifters!
