Book Crumbs Updates & What's to come in 2025

Hello book lovers and storytellers! It’s that time of year again where we are all putting together our vision boards and plotting our 2025 glow ups and Book Crumbs is no exception!

I absolutely love the community we are building here! Your support makes it possible for me to offer free and fun services to marginalized authors as well as offer my services at adjusted pricing to fit within their budgets. I would not be able to do this without you and for that I just want to keep making Book Crumbs’ Substack an engaging, fun and informative experience. Here are some of the fun and new things happening here on Book Crumbs Substack:

New Podcast Segment

Introducing my all new podcast segment called, Pick Up Lines! This will be a 15 min weekly podcast segment where BIPOC, Marginalized, and Indie authors will entice and seduce us into reading their books with just one pick up line– a juicy, funny, or emotionally moving line from their book that will have us moving it up our TBRs immediately. This segment of Book Crumbs, the Podcast will start to air early spring 2025.

Book Crumbs, the Book Club!

That’s right! Book Crumbs is going book club! I will be hosting a monthly book club here on Substack Chats so we can read books by diverse authors together! Get ready to join me to yap about new stories and fun new fictional worlds all in one place without ever having to leave the app! I will do my best to keep things simple and easy to navigate. Here is how it will work:

• At the end of each month, our bookclub pick will be announced for the coming month through a newsletter post with detailed instructions and information on how to participate in each bookclub read.

• On our bookclub discussion day, we will have a live chat about the book where we can all discuss it together here on substack in our bookclub chat!

Free Courses & Resources

I have been working on scripting, filming, and creating some new and free courses and resources for you! Community College will be launching early 2025! We all know how important community building will be in the coming years and I want to share all the tools I have that I have gathered over the last 4 years as a community creator and leader. I will also be releasing all the must have resources and templates for any real book lover! I can not wait to share all I have in store for 2025!

Community & Group Chat

I am so happy to announce that book crumbs will be getting its very own community group chat here on substack where we can yap about our current reads, recommend books for each others TBR, and discuss trending bookish news in real time! This will be a positive space focused on what brings us together as book lovers!

Updates:

I will be adjusting my posting schedule while I am setting up all of these fun and new things for book crumbs. I am also grieving the loss of a friend and community leader and need to take sometime to allow myself to hold space for that. I will not be operating here on substack on my regular schedule from now until after the holiday.
Book Crumbs will return to regular posting with all new content (and an updated content schedule!!) on December 29th 2024. I am a yapper with a lot of feelings so I cant promise I wont be posting at all, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I will be dividing my time between these new projects for 2025 and grieving and caring for my mental and emotional health.
